Education Programme

Rebuilding Futures, One Step At A Time

Education is the flagship program of Panth Foundation, rooted in the belief that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.

In India, while many girls enrol in school, a significant number drop out before completing secondary education. Nearly 60% of girls reach Class 10, but only about 28% transition to higher education which varies state-to-state and district-to-district. It shows, 7 out of 10 girls discontinue their education up to Class 12. These dropouts are often driven by economic hardship, social norms and systematic discrimination against women, lack of guidance, and limited access to academic support.

To address this gap, Panth works to reintegrate out-of-school girls into formal education, especially those who have left school after Class 8. Through our “Addressing Needs & Promoting Solutions” model, we provide remedial academic support, mentorship, counselling, and continuous engagement with families to ensure girls are able to re-enter and sustain their education journey.

In addition, the program focuses strongly on dropout prevention and retention, particularly during critical transition stages—from Class 8 to 9 and Class 10 to 11, where dropout rates are highest. By strengthening academic foundations, building confidence, and supporting families, we ensure that girls continue their education without interruption.

Evidence shows that when girls complete Class 12, their participation in higher education increases significantly and surpasses boys. By enabling girls to complete their schooling, Panth is not only supporting education but also unlocking long-term opportunities for leadership, economic independence, and social change to shape their own life and contribute meaningfully to society.
